Autumn Espresso - Cesar Delgado, Peru

Tasting notes: Sweet and rich with notes of chocolate, red berries and dried fruit. Best brewed on a espresso machine, with a moka pot, or french press.

From the lush heights around Moyobamba, this year's Autumn Espresso is grown on the La Mina coffee farm. Here, the coffee trees grow under natural shade from the rainforest, surrounded by rich biodiversity.

The La Mina coffee farm is run by young farmer Cesar Perez Delgado. He learned how to grow coffee from his parents and brother, and today grows coffee on his own farm. The coffee grows in clayey, mineral-rich soil and he handpicks, processes and dries the coffee beans on the farm. From La Mina we have received a coffee batch with the sweet and juicy flavors we find in specialty coffee from Peru, and which is very suitable for espresso.
