Tasting notes: Sweet and rich. Chocolate, nuts, raisins.

Coffee has been produced by the farm Barreiro for over two centuries. The sweet taste of brazilian coffee is highlighted by the natural process.

Fazenda Barreiro is run by Francisco Otávio Lotufo, who is the great-grandson of the man who founded the coffee farm in 1820. The farm has a complete coffee infrastructure - in the form of a washing station, bean separator, pulper and several mechanical coffee dryers.

In 1820, Joquim Bernardes founded Fazenda Barreiro, at the time as a headquarter for several coffee farms around the city of Poços de Caldas. Today, the farm is still in the hands of the family through his great-grandson Francisco Otávio Lotufo. The family's ambition is to create a perfect balance between the coffee farm and the nature they are surrounded by. That is why they work to preserve the farm's forests, water reserves, as well as bird and animal life. In this way, they also contribute to a better workplace for the 30 families who live and work at Fazenda Barreiro. In addition to the large areas of land filled with lush coffee trees, the farm has over 5,000 square meters of brick and concrete terraces where the coffee berries are sun-dried.
