Among Rwanda's endlessly green mountain peaks lies the Tumba washing station, which receives coffee from over 1600 coffee farms. Coffee cherries cultivated in mineral-rich, volcanic soil are grown by the nearby farmers and processed at Tumba.
Tumba is located in the Rulindo region, north of the capital Kigali. The mountains provide fertile ground for the finest quality coffee, and Tumba is no exception with its juicy and fresh taste. The washing station is located at an altitude of almost 2000 meters and to the 1600 coffee farms that supply coffee, Tumba contributes free organic compost and shade trees to the farms, which helps ensure the quality of the harvest.
Coffee from Tumba has been an Easter tradition for Solberg & Hansen for many years, and we are so happy to be able to offer it as both Easter Espresso and Easter Coffee.
