Natural processed coffee has long been a rarity in Kenya, but in recent years several have experimented with different processing methods, with great results. This coffee is from the Gura washing station in Nyeri.

The Gura washing station is located in the famous Nyeri coffee region, just southwest of Mount Kenya. Ripe coffee cherries are delivered here from coffee farmers in nearby areas. The rich, volcanic soil results in dense coffee beans with complex, fruity flavor profiles.

This batch of coffee is natural processed, which has long been a rarity in Kenya. When the coffee cherries are dried whole with the pulp on, Kenyan coffee takes on a completely unique and intense sweetness and fruitiness.
