In the mountain slopes of the San Martin region, farmers Jorge, Leomar and Felino cultivate coffee with a focus on biodiversity and sustainable agriculture.

In Peru, the landscape is perfect for coffee, with steep mountain ridges, deep rainforest and fresh ocean air. They have been growing coffee here since the 18th century. The coffee berries are hand-picked, and many of the farmers transport the coffee on foot or by mule.

Organic coffee production has made the country an important player in the coffee world. On the farms of Jorge, Leomar and Felino Sanchez, the organic coffee is grown with a focus on biodiversity and sustainable agriculture.
