Tasting notes: Fruity and complex. Ripe berries, orange and vanilla.
In the lush, volcanic heights of the Guji region, the Gata family cultivates premium coffee in partnership with over 220 smallholder farmers. This batch of coffee is hand-picked and sun-dried to preserve its sweet, fruity flavor.
For the second year in a row we have received coffee from Gerba Dogo, and once again we can offer two coffee lots - one washed and one natural. Check out Gerba Dogo Washed here.
With proud traditions and deep roots in the rich coffee history of the Guji region, the Gerba Dogo washing station is a pioneer in Ethiopian coffee production. The coffee is grown in a unique microclimate, high in the mountains, where the lush and nutrient-rich soil provides perfect growing conditions. The combination of altitude, temperature variations and mineral-rich soil creates a complex and balanced flavor profile that characterizes coffee from this region. The result is a cup of coffee with distinct character, floral notes and a clean, lively acidity.
Gerba Dogo is a washing station that shows how local expertise and respect for nature can produce coffee of exceptional quality. Through close collaboration with local farmers and continuous improvement of processes, the station helps to highlight the best that Ethiopia has to offer in terms of unique specialty coffee.
